Tolerance
The tolerance band is the whole specification.
Anyone can hit a nominal dimension once. Our job is holding the band — on critical features to ±0.01 mm — on part one, part eight hundred and every part between, with the measurement data to prove it.
What we hold
Bands we work in every day
Tolerance capability isn't one number — it's a different discipline for every process. The register opposite shows the working classes our floor holds routinely; tighter callouts are reviewed feature-by-feature at quote stage, honestly, before we commit.
Our machinists read GD&T fluently: datum structures, true position, profile, runout. When the print speaks in symbols, nothing is lost in translation between your design intent and our setup sheet.
| Critical machined features | Down to ±0.01 mm |
|---|---|
| Precision fits | Bores to H7, shafts to g6/h6, press & sliding fits |
| Runout | To 0.01 mm TIR over centres |
| Ground surfaces | Flatness to 0.005 mm; fine Ra callouts |
| Fabrication | Weldment dimensional control with distortion management |
| General machining | ISO 2768-f/m unless the drawing states otherwise |
How it's held
Tolerance is a system, not a steady hand
Designed in
Fixtures engineered per part family, programs proven on first articles, thermal and clamping effects planned for — accuracy is built into the setup before the first chip.
Measured through
In-process checkpoints are written into the routing and recorded at the machine. Drift is caught in the band, not at final inspection.
Proven out
CMM verification and calibrated gauging close every job with data — see measurement capabilities for the instrument room behind it.
Priced honestly
Tolerance drives cost. Where a looser band would serve the function at lower cost, we say so at quote stage — and where a callout is tighter than we can hold, we say that too.
Put us to the test
Send the drawing with the tightest callout you have.
You'll get back either a commitment we can measure against — or an honest conversation about the band.
